Best Way to Stay Positive As An Entrepreneur

Jun 14, 2023

When I say that does it have a negative or positive connotation?

Most will lean towards the negative. But it is also equally positive.

See, Newton said it best

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction

Therefore it must be true that it is equally as positive as negative.

My purpose of this is to get you to think 1% differently.

Start to say I Don’t Care…

I often say I do not care. It is not that I am rude or unsympathetic, in fact the opposite.

However in order to have laser clear focus we need to shut off external distractions. Otherwise, they will derail us.

I do not care about TV shows, sporting events, or gossip on what Sally and Bob are doing - I hope they are well. What I do care about is that I am doing my daily behaviors, being accountable, and providing for me, my family, my businesses and my community.

As I see it when I care about those external things, I take away my focus, which means I do not care about my goals because had I cared for those goals I would not be distracted by something that takes my focus away from attaining them.

It is ok to be selfish for yourself. It is ok to protect your time. It is ok to be disciplined. So long as you lead with empathy, compassion and selflessness.

I am bombarded daily, as you are, with so many negative emotions, negative thoughts, and things that try to derail us. It is vital that you stick to your main focus otherwise it will directly impact everything else in your daily life too.

I will say that shutting off all of these distractions has allowed me to be more focused and grow larger and expand into other verticals faster, hence building out my vision.

I will often say in my training sessions. Do not step over dollars to get pennies. You must become ok losing a little to get a lot. We can not please everyone. We can not sell to everyone. We can not please to everyone. What is your Wheelhouse and go all in. Do not get distracted by the shiny pennies that take you off your focus.

I firmly believe that by shutting off distractions and staying focused you can double your production.

Start to say “ I Don’t Care” with a smile.

Here are More tips to keep your entrepreneur vibes Positive

Being an entrepreneur is both exciting and challenging. The journey of building a business from scratch can be filled with ups and downs. In the face of adversity, it's essential for entrepreneurs to stay positive and maintain their motivation. Here are some effective ways to cultivate a positive mindset and keep your entrepreneurial spirit alive.

One of the key factors to staying positive as an entrepreneur is setting achievable and realistic goals. Break down your long-term objectives into smaller milestones that can be accomplished within a specific timeframe. This will not only help you to stay positive and focused but also give you a sense of achievement when you reach each milestone.

2. Surround yourself with positivity

The people around you can have a significant impact on your attitude and mindset. Surround yourself with positive individuals who support your vision and share your enthusiasm for success. These connections can provide valuable advice, encouragement, and even collaboration opportunities.

Negative thinking will spoil your plans, put you in a bad mood and increase anxiety.

Positive thinking will have you happy, and joyous to be around and will increase your overall well-being.

3. Celebrate small wins

Every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating. Acknowledge your progress and take time to appreciate the hard work that has led to your achievements. This positive thought will boost your self esteem and morale and motivate you to continue pushing forward.

Another reason to have a gratitude journal is to write down your wins, no matter how small. When you are celebrating wins negative self talk does not exist. And since you are winning, your self esteem increases.

When we fail there is lots of negative self talk. However, stay positive and develop healthy coping skills. Inspiration:

Often we get attached to external things that drive our internal processes. We need to look more inward than outward.

It is ok to want luxury, money, yachts, fancy cars as goals. However to think they will bring true happiness, it won’t.

Now, when you have true inner peace and receive those things. The reward is 10 fold.

I had several people who were feeling down about not having “things” and those “things” they were seeking for the wrong reasons.
